Follow your Guide in colonial dress to visit genuine historic sites in our National Register of Historic Places District. Travel back in time as you walk along tree-shaded brick cobbles to enter premier properties of the past. Moderate walking of about 1 1/2 hrs. duration. Tours feature stories of the past and can be customized for the age group and interests of the audience.

You may call to reserve a Guided Walking Tour or just to ask questions... stop in and pick up some suggestions, brochures, Map Guide or flyers. The Tour Office is located in the Carriage House, a Centennial-era stable and Transportation Museum complete with carriages, sleighs, sledge and locally-manufactured rickshaw.

The Regularly-Scheduled Tour may take from 1 1/2 to 2 hours, walking 1 to 1 1/2 miles.
Regularly Scheduled Tours: $8.00/Adult || $6.00/Child<12 or Senior>60
Topical Tours are in-depth explorations of the Underground Railroad, Civil War or Revolutionary War eras which include the Burlington County Historical Society house museums, Library and Museum. These fascinating explorations may last up to 4 hours, and cover up to 2 miles, allowing for a short lunch break.

Historical sites often include stairs on entry, and our ancient cobbles may be uneven. Dress appropriately for the season and weather, and wear good walking shoes.

A walking tour is offered which enters the Burlington County Historical Societys Corson Poley Center Delia Biddle-Pugh Research Library, specializing in county and local histories, decorative arts, preservation and genealogical materials, and Aline K. Wolcott Museum Gallery presenting exhibits which highlight area manufacturing and craftsmanship. The changing exhibit currently features The American Revolution: A Global Conflict.

Requests for Walk-on Guides for Bus Tours are being accommodated, given sufficient notice. Tours feature historical commentary that is customized for the age group and interests of the audience. The Regularly-Scheduled Tour may take from 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Shorter or longer tours are available on request. Bus parking is available please inquire.

Self-Paced Audio-Cassette Tour |
Listen and follow along, as a professionally-produced Audio Tape leads you on the Grand Historical Tour. Interrupt, skip or backtrack as much as you like– the narrator wont mind! The full Tour may take from 1 1/2 to 3 hours, depending on your pace. Wear good walking shoes to cover the full 2 to 3 miles.
